Jono Richardson was on point and totally deserved the win, ahead of William Hoare who had to dig deep to take second place. Mitch Brightmore had a cracking result, pushing hard all race, and managed to take 3rd.
Jono’s sister Chloe Richardson had an outstanding result, being the only Lady rider and just missing out on Gold.
The top Expert of the day was Tom Minta who was right in the mix with the bigger names in the Championship class and was only one of 24 riders who made it to the Gold checkpoint, as did the top Elite Vets rider Mark Jackson and the winning Clubman rider Liam Robinson.
Henry Life headed up the Youth category and took a well-deserved victory, while Karl Greenhall got the job done in the Vets. Tommy Stott was the top dog in the Sportsman.
Well done to all riders that started the event, whether you got to a checkpoint before Bronze, to Bronze, to a checkpoint before Silver, to Silver or a checkpoint before Gold – you gave it your everything, and should be very proud! An even bigger well done to all the 24 riders that got to Gold, a huge achievement!
Without the landowner this event wouldn’t have been able to take place – so from all at Edge Offroad – thank you to Leighton Hall!
