Following the news that Carlton Husband will spend some time on the sidelines due to a broken foot, Phoenix Even Strokes Kawasaki are delighted to welcome John Meara to the team for round three of the Michelin MX Nationals at Lyng. The 28-year-old from Loughbrickland, Northern Ireland joins his brother Jason on the team this weekend and will compete aboard his KX250 in the PRO MX2 class.

Everyone on the team wishes Carlton a speedy recovery from his injury. Following an operation yesterday he will now spend time in the gym rehabbing, and his return to racing will be evaluated in the coming weeks.

Team owner – Barry Moore: “There is a really good vibe under the awning this year so its great to be able to add Jason’s brother for this weekends Michelin MX Nationals event. John is someone I’ve know for years, so I know it will be a great fit. He’s a quick 250cc rider so he will go well on the KX250 and we’re delighted to welcome him into the team. We also wish Carlton well with his recovery from injury and we are looking forward to getting him back under the awning in the near future.”
