Jake and Eddie on Fire at Foxborough! 2023 Eastern Centre Youth Enduro Championship Round 2 – Report & Results

Sudbury MCC welcomed some new faces amongst the riders aged 12-16 competing in the 2nd round of the GH Motorcycles & GB Finch youth series at Foxborough near Halstead recently.

With the largest field so far in this second of the five-round series, the 2 hotly contended classes ran concurrently for the hour-long race over open grassland and twisty tight wooded sections. The course was almost twice the length of the first round and held no issues for the field who benefited from the drying ground in light wind and sunny conditions. The early lead by Eddie Belton from the first corner left Jake Last chasing him for the full race length eventually winning a class each with a lap difference mirroring the results from the first leg.

With Round 3 of the GH Motorcycles/ GB Finch youth series taking place on 11th June at Home Farm, Hadham known for its sprawling course over farmland and testing woodland the venue is one of only two Hertfordshire events in the Eastern Centre region. Sudbury MCC is looking forward to welcoming many more interested youth riders to the challenging sport of Enduro.
