It’s time for the 2024 European Enduro Champ Round 2 in San Marino – Preview and Entry Lists

It’s time for the 2024 European Enduro Champ Round 2 in San Marino

24mx Enduro European Championship is returning to the European stage for the second round of the 2024 season. The Republic of San Marino will welcome the European Enduro family for the first time. A challenge welcomed with great enthusiasm by the San Marino Federation and Titano Motoclub, both directing this second act, which will see over 150 riders competing on June 15 and 16. As with the first event in 2024, the response from European riders from Spain to Finland from Italy to Great Britain reaching the Republic of San Marino is high.

A small pearl, which has around 34,000 inhabitants and an area of 62 km2, is located in the heart of Romagna (Italy), which has always been a land with a great passion for motorbikes. In fact, a few kilometres far from San Marino, there are Tavullia, Valentino Rossi’s birthplace, and the Misano circuit, which hosts superbike and MotoGP races every year. But from the asphalt, we project ourselves into the off-road, which we objectively love more, with our 155 standard bearers ready to challenge each other for round 2# within the three scheduled special tests.

After about 10 minutes from the start, which is scheduled for 8.30 on both days, riders will arrive at the Cross Test, designed on a hill. At the end of the Cross Test, competitors will embark on a 45-minute transfer that will lead the riders to the T.C. with assistance. In the second part of the loop there will be the Enduro Test, traced in the undergrowth, and the 24mx Extreme Test, truly spectacular, with passages in a small stream and over stones. The laps to complete will be 4 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. The check inspections will take place, according to the scheduled timetable, from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on Friday June 14th.

The multi-titled Andrea Verona did not want to miss this second appointment and, also in view of the Italian round of the Enduro World Championship, which will be held on 21-22-23 June, he decided, like Davide Soreca, to take part in the European Championship test in San Marino. An important presence of two great champions who have chosen the 24mx European Enduro Championship as a training ground in view of the world championship event. Verona is currently the leader of the overall standing, thanks to the two victories obtained in Castiglion Fiorentino in round 1 of the 2024 season.

Thanks to the 40 points gained in Italy, Verona is firmly in command of the general, also thanks to the fact that the rider in second place, Samuele Bernardini will not be present this weekend. Davide Soreca and Daniel Mundell (TNT Corse) could take advantage of the Honda rider’s absence, both currently in third place overall with 24 points. The championship is still long, and there are still many cards to play! See you in San Marino on June 15th and 16th!
