Hinchcliffe the hero of Teifiside! Classic MX Wales Championship Round 1 – Rundown, Results and Pictures

The Teifiside Club hosted an excellent scrambles meeting, which was Round 1 of the 2023 Welsh Championship. Riders from as far afield as Lincolnshire and Cumbria travelled to what was a sunny corner of Ceredigion to participate in some excellent racing.

There was a full lineup of Twinshock 125’s with Andy Hinchcliffe winning all 3 motos against a strong field. Micky Allen topped the Pre 60’s and Malcolm Herbert pre65’s following come close racing.

Andy Hinchcliffe (again) and David Gwyther took pre68 honours, with Dan Evans and Nathan Jones leading the pre74 points on the day. Whilst Rhys Edwards easily took the Twinshock class, he lost by 1 point to Dan Griffiths in the Evo class after some excellent races.
