Hawkstone International class switch for Joel Rizzi

Dirt Store Racing team’s Joel Rizzi has announced on his social media that he will be switching classes for this Sunday’s Hawkstone International MX.

Rizzi, who finished fourth in the MX2 class of last year’s British Motocross Championship, is all set to compete in the MX1 class this year onboard the new Triumph TF 450-RC, in what is a development role for the young rider, but in his post he said that he needed, “more seat time and testing on it before I race it.”

His move to MX2 on Sunday will be an interesting one, as we have already seen great success for the Triumph TF 250-X in MXGP and in America and Rizzi will certainly be a rider expected to be at the sharp end.

Joel’s full post said, “Bit of a last minute change but I won’t be racing my Triumph 450 at Hawkstone simply need more seat time and testing on it before I race it. So I’ll be racing in the mx2 class which should be a good blast😜
