Hangtime for Hutchings at Wickwar! 2022 UK EVO MX Championship Round 5 – Rundown & Results

The UK EVO MX series trundled into Wickwar on Sunday for the fifth round of their 2022 championship.

The sun was out, and the action was scorching hot, but unfortunately, a race incident cut the action a block short for most classes.

In the 125 Evo class Kristian Hutchings grabbed the win with a 2-1 scorecard, while in the 250 Evo group Jamie Skuse got the better of Jamie Smith for the number one spot.

Graeme in action in the Evo 125 class where he won the opening race, but in the second moto his race was to come to an end just after the start when he came to a halt with a electrical problem

Paul Edge maxed out with three moto wins in the 500 Evo Class.

Over in the Super Evo under 40 Christian Mcgill slung three solid motos together, including one victory to notch up the overall, while in the Over 40’s, Nathan Davies nabbed the glory!

Jamie was in fine form in the opening Evo 250 race and took a comfortable win and was looking good in the second race until he picked up a front wheel puncture towards the end of the race, but he still gave his all and came home in second behind Jamie Smith

Mark Mcgill piled in with two wins in a second for the Super Evo over 50 overall.

Matt Nash got the job done in the Twinshock Under 50, with Kevin Butcher taking the chequers on all three occasions in the Overs.

No 11 Alex Wallis under pressure from No 83 Jack Peaster in the Evo 500 class

In the Vets Evo Over 45 it was victory for Danny Blakely, and doing the same in the Over 60 Donald Kennedy did the business.

Matt Ridgway dominated the Modern 2 Stroke taking maximum points from his three motos.

No 50 Mike Allport being pursued by No 196 Darren Shortt and No 772 Jason Morettes in the Modern Over 50’s 2-stroke class
