Godden and Smith Take Silver at European Sidecar Grasstrack Championship at Eenrum

After the first event of mid-August in Germany, the last round of the European Sidecar Grasstrack Championship was raced in Eenrum, the Netherlands on Sunday.

A very competitive event with close racing, after the first heat, the teams placed 10th to 5th competed in the B Final, with the winner Wilfred Detz (KNMV) and second place Guillaume Comblon (FFM) joining the team placed 1st to 4th in the A Final.

Current British Champions Mitch Godden and Paul Smith qualified for the A Final and the racing was always going to be a close fought affair, but at the end of four laps of hard racing Germans Markus Venus and Markus Eibl took the victory ahead of Mitch Godden and Paul Smith claiming Silver in second and Wilfred Detz and Wendy Arling taken third place on the podium.
