In November 1984 Colchester based motorcycle dealership, GH Motorcycles, first opened its doors to customers from a small showroom on Barrack Street. Shortly after moving to larger premises in 2003, they took on the Yamaha off-road dealership. This year they are celebrating the opening of a brand-new Yamaha showroom, with an Open Day on Saturday 19th August 2023.
As long-term sponsors of the Eastern Centre Enduro and Motocross Championships, GH Motorcycles founder and managing director, Gavin Hockey is keen to share his enthusiasm and love of the sport which is the driving force behind the business.
Gavin says, “We are really excited to celebrate the day and there will be lots to see and do, including a great display of Pre 2000 Yamaha Road & Off-Road Bikes from across the years.”
“With judging and prizes for the best vintage bike, complementary refreshments and hundreds of tempting summer special offers across the whole range of new and used bikes and accessories we welcome anyone with an interest in road and off-road motorbikes. There is something for everyone.”
Gavin and Team Riders Ben Cole and Eddie Belton and the rest of the GH crew are looking forward to welcoming the public at the Colchester site in Challenge Way, Hythe Hill Colchester to celebrate the latest milestone for this long-established business.
