Over the weekend, the FIM EnduroGP World Championship 2024 made its way to Gelnica, Slovakia, for the fifth round of the Season.
The track featured three very technical special stages and a demanding transfer, for a total of 56 km. The tests were conceived by the Moto Club GL Moto Team and included an Enduro Test of about 5.8 km inside a forest with muddy ground; a very technical 5.2 km long Cross Test featuring motocross-style counter-slopes, jumps and banks; and a natural Extreme Test inside a stream of about one kilometre in length.
Brad Freeman is recovering race after race from his early season injury and at Gelnica won both days of competition in Class E3, confirming his leadership in the category. In the EnduroGP he achieved a 5th position on the opening day and a good 2nd position on the final day.
Nathan Watson also performed well in the E2 Class, finishing 2nd on both race days. In the EnduroGP he recorded an excellent 2nd position on Saturday and a 4th position on Sunday.
Worth mentioning is the good performances of Theo Espinasse, Team Beta OX Moto, in Class E1, who finished 3rd in both race days. Also from the Beta OX Moto Team, good results for Leo Joyon, 3rd in the Junior 1 Class and 5th in the Junior on both race days. Also of note was Matej Skuta, KBS Team, 2nd in the Junior2 Class and 4th in the Junior Class.
