Woodbridge DMCC are pleased to announce the return of the Foxwood Trade Holeshot Award for the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship at Blaxhall on Sunday 28th May thanks to the continued support of local company Foxwood Trade.
Foxwood Trade is a branch of Foxwood Ceramics which opened in 2018 and are based in Kesgrave near Ipswich. The established local family business offers an extensive and imaginative range of wall and floor tiles at trade prices. Foxwood Trade is owned by former motocross rider Matt Cottrell, who has long been a supporter of the Woodbridge Club and father of former European and British Championship rider James Cottrell who will be competing at Blaxhall for the first time in recent years.
As in previous years the Holeshot Award will once again help to increase the excitement of the most spectacular part of the race, the start. With the best Motocross riders from the UK and Europe battling it out in both the MX1 and MX2 classes, the extra incentive of a Cash Prize of £100 per race is sure to increase the importance of the start for the riders. Also, once again, if a rider in either the MX1 or MX2 class secures both Holeshot Awards they will receive an additional £100 Cash Prize, making it £300 for a double Holeshot.
Speaking of behalf of the Woodbridge and DMCC, Richard Blyth mentioned that “As always we are extremely grateful to have Foxwood Trade back supporting the club and event. Foxwood have been with us since our first British event in 2015 and it is great to be able to work with a local company each year and The Holeshot Award has been a great success for both the riders and the spectators and we hope that it will once again help increase the excitement for the crowd when the gate drops on May 28th at Blaxhall.”
