It all boils down to this: Yes, the curtain comes down on the 2024 Bridgestone British Masters Motocross Championship this weekend, September 14th and 15th, at the legendary Foxhill circuit in Wiltshire.

Consistency has been the key in the Expert class. There have been different winners throughout the rounds, but pitching in with points in them all has been Fus March Racing’s James Dodd, who holds a 20-point advantage over his teammate Henry Williams, with Charlie Cole a further 29 points behind. That’s how it all looks in the Championship, but in terms of the Round, you never know what wildcard riders will show up, so it will be interesting to see who takes the victory this weekend in the Experts.
The 125cc class is going to be a cracker, with a two-way title showdown between young gun Charlie Richmond and the more experienced Matt Bayliss. Just nine points separate the two, with Damon Strydom and Will Haddock set to dual it out for the final podium spot.
Four riders have a realistic chance of taking home the Amateur MX1 title. Seth Manners, on 750 points, and Josh Greedy, on 743, are in the driving seat. However, you can’t count out Ben Knight and Brad Wheeler, who could put the pressure on if they pull a big performance out of the bag in Wiltshire.
Raife Broadley, with one hand and a pinky on the trophy in the Amateur MX2 class, has racked up a phenomenal 132-point lead. The likelihood is he will wrap up the title on Saturday, so the focus will be more on the podium positions, with Jonathan Rodenick-Evans, David Plank, Leon Ongley, and Josh Bassett all set to duke it out to get on the box.
Scott Bates is another rider who looks to have the title sewn up in the Clubman category. He has a whopping 96-point advantage over his closest rival, Dan Chapman, who will be going all out to hold off Jamie Collins’ challenge for the number two spot.
In the MXY2, Beau Brown will need to be on top form to keep the charging pack at bay. His lead of 29 points is not insurmountable, with 180 on the table over the weekend. The charging pack includes Harrison Greenough, Austin Beasty, and Shane Jones, all of whom have the speed to pull off a big Foxhill result.
Joel Winstanley Dawson has been in fine form in the Big Wheel 85’s, and if he can keep that up he will be heading home with a championship under his belt but with 60 points in hand, he can’t afford to be too complacent as Olly Waters and Kameron Greenhalgh will be ready to pounce if he has any mishaps.
One of the most keenly contested classes is the Small Wheel 85’s, with a three-way battle set to ensue for the title between Arthur Moore, Harley Marczak and Nixon Coppins, with just 23 points splitting them. You won’t be able to keep your eyes off this one!
Elliott Shawyer and Ronan Watson both have their eyes on the big Junior 65cc prize, but with 25 points between them, this could go either way. Cohen Jagielski missed a round but won a stack of races when he was present. He will look to nail third in the championship.
