Farleigh Castle & World Vets Motocross building up for huge gathering of MX Legends – Preview

Farleigh Castle & World Vets Motocross building up for huge gathering of MX Legends

It is time to celebrate the sport of motocross, in what will be one of the highlights of the 2024 British motocross season. The World Vets Motocross event kicks off this weekend with a long list of motocross legends and a festival type of event that will be more than you ever expected. With summer really warming up, its time to get to a motocross event and enjoy what will be one of the biggest weekends of your year.

Motocross legends like, Sebastien Tortelli, James Dobb, Kurt Nicoll, Tommy Searle, Rob Herring, Jeff Emig, Doug Henry, Billy Mackenzie, Mark Eastwood and many more will be in attendance, signing autographs, chatting with the spectators and of course, showing their skills around the old school facility.

Multiple British motocross champion and red hot social media star, Searle can’t wait to race this legendary circuit for the first time in his career and see’s it as a fun weekend, with a lot of friends, family and of course, you the fan.

“I have never ridden Farleigh before,” Searle said. “So, this will be my first time. I am looking forward to it and I have spoken to Jamie Dobb about it. He is excited about it too and I have done other veterans’ races, but I want to do a few of them. This one has a different audience and that will be more family oriented. I will be racing a modern bike and the class I am is the modern bikes, which is nice. I am really looking forward to it and it adds some much for the British schedule. Being able to race Farleigh Caste, a track that has so much history in our sport, that is the biggest thing I look forward to.”

Your weekend can begin at 1.00pm Friday 19th July and end at 6.00pm Sunday 21st July 2024 and you can get your weekend tickets NOW, with a weekend adult ticket being £42.80 and a child weekend ticket just £16.50.

One of the most popular tickets for the chance to really celebrate the weekend on full throttle, a family weekend ticket is just £157.50 and that includes 2 Adults, 2 Children & 1 Camping Pitch. Children under 11 are free.

Just Saturday will cost you £26.75 for an adult and for a child from 11 to 16 is £11.00, again, a child under 11 is free throughout the weekend. Sunday Tickets for adults is £26.75, a child is £11.00. For a camping pitch its £53.50, that would be for One Camper, Van or Caravan.

One of the greatest British riders from the last 40 years is Kurt Nicoll and he has many experiences at the Farleigh Castle circuit and can’t wait for this weekend.

“Farleigh was the first GP race that I won, and I always did well at Farleigh. I love going back there. It is one of the iconic tracks. A track like that will never be used for a Grand Prix again, because things have moved on. It is nice to look back at old tracks like that, like Namur, Wohlen, Payerne and those places are gone, and Farleigh still remains. I think it is fantastic that we can all get together at a place like Farleigh Castle and reminisce and still be able to love what we are doing.”

The whole weekends is full of entertainment, amazing spots to eat, a wide selection of bars, and more than enough for the kids to also have a fun filled weekend.
