Lucy Barker and the AVT Campers KTM team made a triumphant journey to Denmark at the weekend, where Lucy began her European Womens Motocross Championship title defence in style by going 1-1 for a fantastic victory.
Lucy said of her weekend, “I had a really good 1st round of the Europeans in Denmark. On Saturday, I suffered from mechanical issues each time I was on the track, which stopped me from doing my best. But I still managed to finish 3rd in the qualifying race somehow #chopperstyle (insert picture below).”
“Then on Sunday, things went well. I was sitting in second right behind the leader, dropped back but finished a solid second. However, the leader got disqualified, so that gave me 1st place. In Race 2, I holeshot, led the whole race, and brought it home safely on a very sketchy track. Thanks to my mum, dad, AVT Campers KTM and everyone else for their support. I really appreciate it. #LB310”
