It’s all systems go for next weekend’s (18th to 20th August) EXGB promoted Electric Dirt Bike Festival, which will be taking place at the fantastic Greenfield Dirt Track venue in Lincolnshire.
The Festival is believed to be the first all-encompassing Electric Dirt Bike event in the world with riders from as young as three taking part through to Adults.
Running over four different track’s the event begins with an Electric ride afternoon from 3.30pm to 6.30pm on the Friday which is a perfect opportunity for riders under 3 or first-timers to have their first go on the purpose-built Revvi Arena. This also gives weekend racers the chance to get some laps under their belts ahead of the two race days. EXGB have Revvis to hire for this too if you would your little one to give it a try. >>CLICK HERE to sign up for the ride afternoon<<
Saturday will see the Revvi Electric Balance Bike Masters Championship take place at the Revvi Arena with classes for riders from 3-8 on Revvi 12 or 16″ bikes and also Open Electric Balance Bike classes for riders on Amped and Stacyc bikes.
Also getting in on the Revvi Arena action will be the Oset 12.5 and Mini-E classes of the EXGP British Electric X Championship. The Mini-E class is the biggest yet and if the action at the previous rounds is anything to go by the racing will be epic. The Mini-E class is for riders aged between 4-7 riding on Oset MX10 bikes or equivalent.
Over on the EXGP circuit which is set between the tree’s, the Auto-E3 and Auto E5 classes for bikes like the KTM SX-E5 and E3, will battle it out for EXGP glory too as will the adults with Rev Monkey Sur Ron Factory rider Isaac Ash looking to get his name on the number 1 trophy!
If you want to try an Electric Bike yourself Sur ron will be running try out sessions on another track for you to see for yourself how much fun you can have on one of their bikes.
With the Electric X of Nations having to be cancelled due to the weather forcing a date clash with a big european race, all riders instead will be invited to try their hand on the Dirt Track circuit which will be a first for many of the riders.
Saturday evening will see music, sand castle competitions and more in the hub area as well as a (non electric) Balance Bike race for the little ones.
It will be back to race action on Sunday morning as the Revvi Masters and EXGP championships on both tracks will reach their conclusion before the big presentation of medals for everyone and awards for the top six over the weekend in the Revvi Masters and top three from each day of EXGP and the top three in the championship overall.
Alongside all of this there will be trade stands from the likes of Duck Smart, Revvi, Sur Ron, EXGB, plus Hot food and drinks a bar, bouncy castle…
Greenfield is a working farm and they have an area within the Event site where children can see and get up close to the animals.
Camping and spectator tickets are free, with well behaved dogs on leads welcome on site.
