The long-awaited return of Championship Quad racing saw both Par Homes ZIP Racing boys, Harry and Alfie Walker back in action in the Nora-MX Quadcross Championship on Sunday where they also picked up their silverware from last year at the Saturday night 2020 presentation.
Alfie, who in 2020 won both Clubman Elite and Official ACU British Championships in 2020 while Harry won the country’s most prestigious award available in 2020, the ‘NORA –Pro Class’, (due to the Cancelled Official Acu Championship).
Both lads now start on the same gate for 2021 with a terrific line up at the first round which saw Harry pick a gate 23 peg and a second row start for Moto one. Working his way through to Runner up spot just a few seconds behind the leader, he proved his raw speed and that he is the guy to beat for the start of 2021.
Moto 2 saw Harry take the lead from Martin McLernon ¾ of a lap in, going on ti win by a commanding 14 seconds at the flag.
In Moto 3 Harry worked his way through the pack from about 9th, before taking the lead with some 3 laps to go. He now sits at the top of the tree after the opening round with an 11 point lead.
Alfie has now had to change his number to ‘8’ for the 2021 season until he begins to Beat his elder brother of nearly 6 years !!
Alfie is now playing with the big Boys and is aiming to win ‘the Pro-Am’ class, where he proved equal pedigree with confidence and style taking a 2-1-2 in the three motos. Alfie oozing with confidence takes a 10 point lead after 3 motos to the next Nora Doubleheader round and can’t wait to get back on track.
