Ditchfield does the double! 2023 Motul British XC Championship Finale – Results and Final Standings

Max Ditchfield made it an Edge Offroad double by backing up his Monsters of Dirt National Sprint Series victory by claiming the Motul British Cross Country Championship title after winning round 9 at Doncaster on Sunday.

Toby Shaw was a dominant force in the Experts and would take the chequers at Round 9 on the way to the title, while Rob Miller took the honours in the Masters category, although Richard Hallam would win out in Doncaster.

The Clubman title would go the way of Daniel Calkin, notching up second in Doncaster behind Jae Jarvis. It was tight at the top in the Sportsman class, and although Ben Redley would win round 9, the title triumph would go the way of Josh Lister.

Andrea Taylforth was the dominate winner in the Ladies class while Riley Boyd won 8 out of the 9 rounds in the Youth AM class to be crowned champ in this group.

Declan Helliwell

Jonny Lister nailed the Sportsman Vets title, although newcomer Jonathan Clark would take round 9 chequers.

In the Over 50’s category Alan Vissian was the top dog both in Doncaster and in the series.  Andrew Cooper was solid throughout in the Novice class firing in the round 9 win to take title too.

Connor Watson

Connor Watson was fast in the Youth A category and finished with a flourish in Doncaster to become the champion in his class while Dexter Hind by winning the Doncaster finale would snatch the Youth B title away from Jacob Bragg by just one point with Juddy Kearford only four points further back in third.

Emmy Dungworth powered to the Youth girls win in Doncaster but it was Kristina Brinkworth who would claim the title.

In the Junior class Ellis Hurst rounded out his title winning season in style by grabbing the victory at the season finale too.

Congrats all round to all of the riders who took part over the year and for Edge Offroad in putting on a superb championship.
