18-Year-old Rob Hooper Racing Yamaha recruit Lewis Hall may have done a huge amount in his career already but he can now notch up completing our Dirty Dozen questions on the list of his accolades…
Dirt Hub: Do you have a Pre-Race Playlist you listen too, and if so name a couple of tracks that are on it?
Lewis: I don’t often listen to music but I do like to listen to a few motivational speeches from David Goggings before a race…
DH: When was the last time you cried?
Lewis: Last time I probably cried was January 2020 when we had absolutely everything stolen just before the start of the season…
DH: What is your favourite inspirational quote?
Lewis: “Work until your idols become your rivals”
DH: Do you have any weird suspicions or pre-race rituals?
Lewis: I have to put my right knee brace on first!
DH: What drives you most to get up in the morning and go training?
Lewis: I get up in the morning because I want to be the best I can possibly be and prove all the doubters wrong…
DH: If you didn’t race what sport would you play or take part in?
Lewis: If I didn’t race I would quite like to get into competing in a few Ironman 70.3 events across the world, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do but it’s hard to juggle the training as an Ironman is more endurance based.
DH: What is your biggest Phobia?
Lewis: My biggest phobia is probably confined spaces…
DH: Who is your biggest sporting idol and why?
Lewis: My biggest sporting idol is probably Jan Frodeno because the achievements he’s accomplished is mind-blowing!
DH: Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Lewis: In 5 years time.. jheez who knows haha, I would like to say I’ll still be racing motocross at a top level but with the current state of the sport I don’t know if it will be possible but I’ll just take it year by year and hopefully get some race wins!
DH: What is your all-time favourite movie?
Lewis: Favourite movie is probably “Kingsman”
DH: Who has had the biggest impact on your career?
Lewis: Well my parents have been my biggest supporters since I started racing and it obviously wouldn’t be possible without them but the Perrett family have done an enormous amount for me over the past 6 years!
DH: What is your philosophy on life?
Lewis: Live life to the fullest as you never know when your time is up!
