Dirty Dozen with Jack Spencer

Beta UK’s Jack Spencer is the latest incumbent to hammer home his Dirty Dozen questions. Jack has made a successful conversion from Trials to Extreme Enduro winning the recent Mini Ravines Extreme Enduro, and moving up into the star-studded Championship class of the British Extreme Enduro Championship alongside the likes of Billy Bolt and Jonny Walker.

Here are the questions…

Dirt Hub: Do you have a Pre-Race Playlist you listen too, and if so name a couple of tracks that are on it?

Jack: No I don’t listen to music before the race I’m to busy everything is ready to go 

Dirt Hub: When was the last time you cried?

Jack: The last time I cried was at the birth of my daughter Emily on the 6th April

Dirt Hub: What is your favourite inspirational quote?

Jack: Push yourself, because no one else is going to do it for you

Dirt Hub: Do you have any weird suspicions or pre-race rituals?

Jack: Not really but I’m always making sure my goggles are crystal clear

Dirt Hub: What drives you most to get up in the morning and go training?

Jack: Wanting to do something every day to improve and be better than yesterday

Dirt Hub: If you didn’t race what sport would you play or take part in?

Jack: Probably boxing, I’ve had 6 semi-professional fights in the past

Dirt Hub: What is your biggest Phobia?

Jack: Not a fan of big spiders

Dirt Hub: Who is your biggest sporting idol and why?

Jack: I’d have to say Dougie Lampkin because he was the man in the trials world which is what I did before extreme enduro

Dirt Hub: Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Jack: Still riding and hopefully loving it just as much

Dirt Hub: What is your all-time favourite movie?

Jack: Wedding Crashers

Dirt Hub: Who has had the biggest impact on your career?

Jack: Two people, my dad without him it would be impossible he makes sure the bike is always ready and it never lets me down, and John Lampkin at Beta-UK who has sponsored me for 15 years now through British trials and now enduro the help his has given me is very much appreciated and has made competing so much easier.

Dirt Hub: What is your philosophy on life?

Jack: Work hard and you will get to where you want to be
