Dirty Dozen with Ike Carter

Ike Carter had a phenomenal motocross season in 2019 winning pretty much every series or event he entered, including the Bridgestone British Masters,  MX Nationals and the MX Master Kids UK. In 2020 he steps up into the Pro ranks and we expect him to be right in the mix.

We fired over our Dirty Dozen questions and here is how they came out…

Dirt Hub: Do you have a Pre-Race Playlist you listen too, and if so name a couple of tracks that are on it?

Ike: I just listen to random songs, mostly rap to get me hyped up for my race but not anything in particular just whatever I like at the time.

Dirt Hub: When was the last time you cried?

Ike: I’m not sure when the last time I cried was. It was years ago.

Dirt Hub: What is your favourite inspirational quote?

Ike: My favourite inspirational quote is “Do the work others aren’t willing to do and you get the things others will never have”

Dirt Hub: Do you have any weird suspicions or pre-race rituals?

Ike: Before a race, I just sit on my bike and just try to concentrate and map out the track in my head, and then when I’m on the start line I will do a quick prey to keep safe.

Dirt Hub: What drives you most to get up in the morning and go training?

Ike: I just want to be the best guy that’s what makes me get up every day and train my hardest because I want to make my dream into a reality and I’ll put my everything into it.

Dirt Hub: If you didn’t race what sport would you play or take part in?

Ike: I think if I didn’t race I would probably not do a sport. There are no other sports that interest me like Motocross, although enduro is a good sport

Dirt Hub: What is your biggest Phobia?

Ike: I don’t really have a big phobia, to be honest ?

Dirt Hub: Who is your biggest sporting idol and why?

Ike: My biggest sporting idol is Jeffrey Herlings because he puts so much work in and he’s a good example to show the more hard work the better results you get.

Dirt Hub: Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Ike: In 5 years time I would like to see myself as one of the top Pros battling it out in the GP’s or AMA. Its a long way away, but I feel confident with the hard work I’m putting in I’ll get there soon.

Dirt Hub: What is your all-time favourite movie?

Ike: My all-time favourite movie is the Wolf of Wall Street ahah

Dirt Hub: Who has had the biggest impact on your career?

Ike: My dad has the biggest impact on my career as he works hard every day to make sure I’m on that gate and ready. Without him I wouldn’t be anywhere in racing.
