Daryl Bolter steps down as ISDE Team GB Manager – Applications being taken for the Role!

The ACU Trial and Enduro Committee have received notification that Daryl Bolter has taken the decision to step down as ISDE Team GB Manager for 2023. The World and Womens’ Trophy Teams made history in 2022 by claiming both Team Trophies in France and it is with great regret that the Manager who helped to lead them to this awesome victory has now to hand over the position to another.

The ACU Trials and Enduro Committee and ACU as a whole, would like to thank Daryl so very much for his efforts in conjunction with right hand man Steve Hall and the whole British Support Contingent for bringing the prestigious awards back to Great Britain, but understand that his work and family wish to reclaim him this year!

We include below a statement from Daryl below-:

“This year at the ISDE we made history, it was an unbelievable journey to get to the top step of the podium in not one but two of the categories. The Trophy, Juniors and Ladies all rode their hearts out to represent Great Britain, the support from everyone involved in Team GB was truly humbling and I’m extremely proud of what we all achieved.

For me personally I have had an amazing time as Team manager but now is the time for me to step aside and let a new manager take the reins, I have other commitments I need to focus on next year and I will not be able to give the ISDE the time it needs.

The good news is talks and pre planning for Argentina 2023 are already underway ready for our title defence! I personally want to thank everyone who supported me and Team GB, it’s a massive team effort and we couldn’t have done it without all the help. I’ll be on hand in the background to support and advise the new team manager if required and let’s hope 2023 is as good as 2022!”

We are asking that if you are interested in the managers role, or you want to be involved with Team GB, please contact the team via email, isdeteamgb@gmail.com or mary@acu.org.uk as soon as possible.

The role demands a great deal of commitment and although candidates would be working as part of a team, and benefit from the guidance of Daryl, individuals would themselves require motivation, organisational and rider management skills and patience in spades!
