Dan Mundell wins 2024 European Enduro Championship

Germany welcomed back the season finale of the Enduro European Championship after the 2022 experience in Rüdersdorf bei Berlin where 2024 British Enduro Champion Dan Mundell added another title to his list becoming the 2024 European Enduro Champion in what has been a phenomenal season for the rider.

The fourth and final round of the series took place in Woltersdorf with the organization of the local Motoclub, which prepared a 55 km route characterized by three challenging special tests – Enduro Test, Cross Test and Extreme Test – guaranteeing an exciting experience for the public and riders in fight for the titles.

The 2024 Championship saw the participation of riders from all over Europe, touching four nations (Italy, San Marino, Finland and Germany) and giving enduro enthusiasts an unforgettable season.

Day 1

The first day of the last round crowned five champions.

Killian Lunier took over the Junior1 title thanks to an impeccable season.

14 years after his last participation in the European Championship, Davide Soreca won the E1 class, overcoming fierce competition.

French rider Anthony Geslin grabbed the E3 title. His season was marked by consistent performances that guaranteed him a prominent position in the Championship.

On a day of great emotion, veteran Maurizio Micheluz reached an important milestone, winning his fourteenth European title and thus concluding a legendary and inspiring career for the younger ones.

In the Women’s category, Mauricette Brisebard’s consistency was rewarded with the title.

The race day started at 8 am on a route to be repeated for three laps, offering to the large crowd who came to live the show a spectacular day of action.

The Youth class had an all-French podium thanks to Gabin Allemand, Matteo Arrieta and Valentin Mersin.

In Junior1 the victory went to Lunier, followed by Pyry Juupaluoma and Charlie Charter.

The Junior2 class saw the battle between Diego Haution and Matej Skuta in Junior2, with the win of the French rider. The Italian Riccardo Fabris closed the Junior2 podium.

In E1 class, local hero Jeremy Sydow took the spot ahead of Soreca and Davide Mei.

The E2 class saw an all-English battle with Daniel Mundell beating Alex Walton by over a minute, with David Abgrall third.

In E3, no rivals for Geslin, who won ahead of Robert Riedel and Mattia Capuzzo.

It was the same scenario for the Senior class, where Micheluz finished first ahead of Nico Rambow and Martin Gottvald.

The Frenchwoman Marine Lemoine was back in the European Championship winning the Women’s class ahead of Mauricette Brisebard and Sara Traini. Unlucky day for Tanja Schlosser, forced to retire after a bad crash.

Among the teams, Diligenti Racing took the first step of the podium ahead of Gaerne and Team Sweden.

In the European Nations Championship, Italy leads in the National, Finland in the Senior, Slovakia in the Women and France in the Youth/Junior.

Day 2

The second and final day crowned the last 2024 champions.

In Youth class, Riccardo Pasquato struggled to find the right pace due to a persistent pain in his left hand. Despite the difficulties, a double P6 allowed him to graduate as European Champion.

In Junior2 the competition was tight until the very last. Diego Haution and Matej Skuta put on a thrilling show, battling for first place until the end. At the end of the nine special tests, Skuta managed to take the victory of the final race day, but Haution took the European title thanks to one point.

Daniel Mundell proved to be the best European rider of the 2024 season by winning the E2 ahead of Alex Walton and the Overall ahead of Davide Soreca.

Motoclub Gaerne took the title among the teams.

The 2024 Nations Trophy was won by Italy. France took first place in the Youth/Junior, Slovakia in the Women category and Finland in the Senior.

Day 2 saw the following riders win: Valentin Mersin in the Youth; Pyry Juupaluoma in the Junior1; Matej Skuta in the Junior2; Jeremy Sydow in the E1 and Overall; Daniel Mundell in the E2; Anthony Geslin in the E3; Maurizio Micheluz in the Senior; Marine Lemoine in the Women.
