The ScotMX promoted SACU Scottish Motocross Championship wound down its 2022 season with its finale at the Clayshant MX track at the weekend.

The final round saw victories for Brad Todd in MX1, Carlton Husband in MX2, Sam Donnan in the 2 Stroke Open, Charley Irwin in the Rookies, Ryan Waggott in the Big Wheels, Hayden Statt in the Small Wheels, Aaron Todd in the Junior 65’s and Cole McAuley in the Auto’s.
Also on the top step of the podium at Clayshant were Micky Graham in the Over 40, and Gordon Morrison in the Over 50’s.
When it came to the Adult B Charley Irwin took the win, while in Adult C Louis Tobin was the victor.
When it came down to the 2022 titles though it was veteran Billy Mackenzie who was crowned the MX1 champion. Steven Craig got the job done to claim the MX2 title, while Dylan C was the top dog in the Open 2 Stroke category.
The kings of the kids were Charley Irwin in the Rookies, James McGowan in the Big Wheel 85’s, Malachi Allan in the Small Wheels, Aaron Todd in the Junior 65’s and Jack Martin in the Auto’s.
On the other end of the age spectrum, Fraser Watson triumphed in the Vets Over 40’s, Gordon Morrison won out in the Over 50’s and Douglas Garrick took the honours in the Over 60’s.
Myles Reid powered to the Championship win in Adult B, while in Adult C John Kenney took the title by one point over Dale Hynd.
Congratulations to all of the Champions but also to everyone who took part during the year and to Stuart Flockhart and the ScotMX team for putting on another great series in Scotland.
