Classic West Wales Weekender! Narbeth Classic Scramble – Rundown, Results and Pictures

The Narberth Classic MCC ran their annual two day classic scramble over the weekend, with over 160 entries including a handful of sidecars in action on both days started at 9.30am with practice.

Saturday saw a programme of 22 races while Sunday’s action at West Atherton farm near Narberth saw 27 races, Clerk of the Course Tim Bodfish and his team, however, were hard at it on the Friday with tanker loads of water being sprayed over the track for most of the day and well into the night, as the practice started the next day there would be plenty of slippery corners but as the racing commenced the track just got better and better as the heat beat down on the West Wales track.

703 Rob Morgan and his BSA take a tumble in the final race of the pre 68 over 350 class on the Saturday but luckily walked away unharmed.

Again similar conditions on the Sunday but as the riders made their way home after some top class racing the Narberth Club knew they had pulled off a great meeting in very demanding condition on a sweltering weekend on the Carmarthenshire / Pembrokeshire border.
