Former Grand Prix winner, and hugely popular local racer Carl Nunn will dust down his helmet and boots and line up behind a start gate for the first time in nearly ten years, in the Stebbings Car Superstore Veterans Challenge at Lyng on April 23rd which is part of the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship round there. It will be interesting to see if he still has that winning mentality as he comes up against a host of riders who are still regularly racing in Vets races around the UK.
After a glittering career that saw him lift numerous British titles in both MX and SX the Eastern Centre rider, who was also a Norwich Viking club member, will be starting a race for the first time since 2014 when he wrapped up his fourth consecutive Centre championship prior to retiring form the sport. He once again teams up with GP mechanic Geoff Walker on the SR75 Suzuki, and it probably won’t be too much of a surprise to seeing him popping the champagne corks at the end of the day.
