Can anyone topple Mewse & Heyman?? 2025 Scottish Motocross Championship Round 2 – Preview

Can anyone topple Mewse & Heyman?? 2025 Scottish Motocross Championship Round 2 - Preview

The 2025 Scottish Motocross Championship continues this weekend with a trip to Clayshant for Round Two.

Last time out, Crendon Tru7 Honda’s Conrad Mewse landed the MX1 wins and will be looking to keep his 2025 unbeaten run-up. However, he will have some likely candidates looking to take him down a peg or two, including reigning champion Brad Todd, Round 1 runner-up Tristan Purdon on his SC Sporthomes Husqvarna, and the bang-on-form Ben Edwards.

The Apico Factory Racing rider Martin Barr impressed at Round 1, too, and will have eyes on going up a notch and getting on the box, as will Jason Meara, who had a stunning 1-1 in the Bridgestone British Masters last weekend. Also showing good speed this year are Lewis Hall and Ross Rutherford. Riders who will be keen to improve on their first-round showing are Charlie Putnam and Stuart Edmonds. A new rider to throw into the mix will be Jake Preston.

In MX2 SC Sporthomes, Husqvarna’s Charlie Heyman is loving the Scottish tracks, and he will take some stopping, although watch out for Chambers Racing’s Glenn McCormick, who has had a tremendous season so far.  Max Harris was the surprise packet at Round 1 and he will be looking to consolidate on this and bag another good result. Other riders looking to race their way onto the podium will be Richard McKeown, Lennox Dickinson, Jordan McCaw, Kyle McNicol, Jack Meara, Frazer Norrie, and Ryan Thomson.

There is also heaps of other racing over the weekend, including the Youth and 2 Strokes classes on Saturday and the Vets and Adult B and C classes running alongside the Pro classes on Sunday.
