Calum Mitchell impresses on Worx Total Triumph debut at Hawkstone International

Calum Mitchell impresses on Worx Total Triumph debut at Hawkstone International

The WORX Total Triumph squad made the trip to Shropshire for the prestigious Hawkstone International Motocross on Sunday, with Calum Mitchell racing in the stacked MX2 class.

The team’s debut for the 2025 outdoor season got underway, with Calum qualifying in 10th place, an excellent start for the Norfolk-based sand master up against some tough World GP contenders & British championship front runners.

Race 1 started with a minor technical issue, resulting in a bike change before the gate drop. Calum gated at the back but dug deep in the first lap, coming around in the top 12. He settled quickly, and the standard TF 250-x showed its quality by pushing through the pack, and with Calum’s determination, it took him to a 7th-place finish and a great start to the day.

In Race 2, Calum gated in the top 15 and rounded the first lap in 9th.  He quickly settled in and looked relaxed, picking his way through the pack. The loamy circuit was now a tough terrain, and the track started to get rough. Although on his first pro outing since last May, Calum crossed the line in in a respectable 6th and showed that he’s got the pace to run at the front, taking 5th overall following world championship competition and giving the WORX Total Triumph team great recognition

“It was a great day by all, and it was fantastic to see a big crowd. We look forward to returning for the Motul British Motocross championship opener there next month.”

Callum: “Yesterday (Sunday) was my first race on the new Worx Total Triumph at the Hawkstone International. It was a great start to the season. Expectations were low as I have not raced since May 2024. To come away with 5th overall and first Triumph means a lot to me and the team so we will continue the hard work ready for the British championships. I cannot thank the Worx Total Triumph team and our sponsors enough for the support.
