Calum Mitchell and Lexa MX part ways

Calum Mitchell and Lexa MX part ways

Talented British racer Calum Mitchell and the Lexa MX team have parted ways.

Mitchell, who has been pitching in with some good results with the team including fourth in the second MX2 moto at the Fastest 40 MX Championship at Preston Docks at the weekend, will go it alone for the timing being with a focus on racing in the UK.

The Lexa MX team which also has John Adamson in the Squad are UK based but focus more on European racing including the Dutch Masters and the ADAC series in Germany.

Mitchell said on his social media about the split:

“All good things come to an end!

“I’d like to thank Lexa mx racing team for my first ever Gp & adac masters experience along with some great Dutch masters racing. It’s been a massive learning curve for me and the team. I feel like we have accomplished a-lot together and it has been a pleasure working with the team from 2022

“It’s time to put my focus in to racing in the uk as this is where I see a better future. I’m not sure exactly what’s around the corner but a mutual agreement has been made and I will no longer be racing for Lexa in 2024”

The team said: “As we reflect on the incredible journey of the past two years, it’s impossible not to recognize the impact @calummitchell32 has had on the Lexa MX Racing Team. Calum has helped shape our team into the force it is today.

“However, in the ever-evolving landscape of racing, mutual agreements sometimes lead to new paths. We acknowledge that both Calum and our team have reached a juncture where our mutual benefit and further development diverge”
