Cab Screens Crescent Yamaha boys tackle Matterley MXGP!

The Cab Screens Crescent Yamaha team hit the 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship finale which took place in Hampshire over the weekend, at Matterley Basin near Winchester.

Harri Kullas and Jamie Carpenter took to the track on Saturday for MXGP qualifying, but sadly Jamie injured his shoulder after landing hard on a jump and had to sit out the rest of the weekend.

Harri had a great first MXGP race on Sunday, with a top ten start. Lying 9th for the early laps, Harri moved to 8th by mid-race, before a mistake pushed him back to 11th. He then lost a place on the last lap to Swiss rider, Valentin Guillod, to finish 12th.

Harri flies over the Matterley skies!

After an almost identical start in race two, Harri was 9th again early on, before overshooting a corner and dropping to 11th. A fall mid-race dropped him further to 13th place, and he edged close to MX of Nations winner, Alessandro Lupino, but couldn’t get close enough to make a move. 13-12 finishes gave Harri an awesome 12th place overall.  Despite only competing in two GPs, Harri’s points have put him into 28th place in the final MXGP World Championship standings.

Harri has one last race for the year, the Motocross of Nations for Team Estonia at Ernee on the 7th & 8th of October!
