Whilst the organising Dyfed Dirt Bike Club, who run the Brechfa Enduro, tried their hardest to locate a new venue for the event after NRW withdrew the permit for the event to use the Brechfa Forest, after Storm Darragh, it left no option for the club but to cancel the two championship rounds, which riders rated highly last year.

DDBC officials had located a new start and finish venue at the Lampeter RFC club grounds in the town itself, and with two new special tests never been ridden in the event before, with one of them just on the outskirts of the town on farm land, after lengthy work with local landowners to secure the ground.

A club spokesperson has said that the aim will now be focused on running the BEC in 2026 and are promising riders another top class event as in the past, whist the club are sorry about this years event having to be cancelled it was completely out of their hands with NRW not even willing for the club to recce the forest in the hope to work on a new loop in there where there was no windfall.

The event was also a round of the ET James Welsh Enduro Championship.

The next round of the BEC will now be the Hafren Enduro starting from the Llanidloes Rugby Club on the outskirts of the town.
