Brad Todd to go it alone again as he reveals his 2025 plans

Brad Todd to go it alone again as he reveals his 2025 plans

Brad Todd has revealed in a candid post on his social media that he will once again be a privateer in 2025 after announcing that teams “get the budgets to run riders like” him anymore.

Todd is one of the mainstays of the British Motocross scene at the top level, and had a superb season in 2024, finishing a fantastic fifth in the MX1 category of the ACU British Motocross Championship, as well as being crowned the Scottish MX1  Motocross Champion. Luckily, he is made of tough stuff, and we will be seeing him racing the British MX and Arenacross Championships, defending his Scottish crown, as well as taking on AMA and MXGP rounds like he did this year if possible.

♦️MY PLANS 2025♦️
So guys, I thought I would share my plans for the 2025 season….
It’s not the ideal situation I would have wanted to be in but it’s just the way the motocross world is at the moment. 🤷‍♂️

I’ll be running on my own again for next season. The teams just purely don’t get the budgets to run riders like myself anymore so they cannot be at blame for anything and I’ve not been one that’s come from a fortunate enough background to pay on to a team. I think being in this situation has always kept me heavily motivated to never give up, which is probably been the reason that I’ve been going for so long. I’m 28 now so these next few years are probably going to be the best I can give before everything starts catching up on me.🤣

I have some amazing sponsors that are staying on board for next season and I’m hopeful for some more support. The previous year was another big learning curve again for myself, the more support I got, the more fun the races seemed to be and the easier it was to get better results. 🤌🏻

So the plan is in 2025

Arenacross
Scottish Championship
British Championship
1 round of the AMA if possible
Maybe MXGP on the basis of my results.

Me and Joe (TMS media) will still continue with the vlogs throughout the year and will try create more exposure for potential sponsors out there by turning up to the races with a nice little team setup. so If anyone would like to be a part of all this please give me or Joe a message. 👍🏻

I was very close towards the end of the season for P3 in the British championship, so it’s obvious what the goal is going to be for next season. 💪
