Over the weekend the last stage of the Assoluti d’Italia Enduro 2024 (Italian Enduro Championship) came to its conclusion in Arma di Taggia. Despite the adverse weather conditions forcing the organisers to cancel Sunday race, both the public and the riders made Saturday’s day even exciting and unpredictable.
Track inspector Mario Rinaldi decided to reduce the track on Day 1 to about 40 km and featured three special tests of the highest level: a 2 km Cross Test along the picturesque beach of Arma di Taggia, a 6 km Enduro Test characterised by hard and muddy ground, and finally, a challenging Extreme Test, which offered a stunning view over the sea.
Brad Freeman came to Arma di Taggia as leader of the Absolute and Foreigner Classes. The race weekend started with the Super Test on Friday afternoon where the British rider recorded the 2nd fastest time Overall.
On Saturday Brad Freeman got off to a strong start by recording the fastest time Overall in the Cross Test, and two 3rd best overall times in the special tests Enduro Test and Extreme Test. In the remaining three laps, Brad recorded good overall times in the Enduro Test and Extreme Test special stages.
Brad Freeman finished the race day confirming himself as Italian Champion in the Overall Class and in the Foreigner Class.
