Bell brings momentum to Mallory! DTRA Flat Track Nationals Round 4 – Preview

The countdown is on to Round Four of the DTRA Flattrack Nationals supported by Royal Enfield. The meeting will take place during the Bike Bonanza at Mallory Park in Leicestershire on the 15th & 16th July. It’s looking to be a busy event, with the classes filling up nicely.

Defending the number one plate in the Pro Class, Gary Birtwistle is leading the championship again in 2023, but he did not have it all his own way at the last round. #54 Tim Neave who is taking a break from the BSB at the moment gave Gary a run for his money at Round Three and ended up winning the final. With both riders signed up to race at Round Four along with Gary‘s brother #11 Alan Birtwistle another keen contender in the Pro Class the stage is set for some close and exciting racing.

The Indian Motorcycle Hooligan Class will also feature in the Saturday afternoon lineup at the Bike Bonanza. #93 Jack Bell is leading the class at the moment and looks unstoppable again in 2023. Spaniard #17 Gerard Bailo will be making a return on the Indian motorcycle FTR 1200 and will be looking to shake up the podium.

The Twins Class sees the return of BSB racer #75 Paul Young. Both Paul and Gary Birtwistle will be competing on Sunday on their custom Royal Enfield, race bikes. The action takes place on a custom-built dirt race track prepared by the Dirt Track Riders Association for the event and racing will be running both days throughout the Bike Bonanza schedule.
