AMCA British Motocross Championship details announced for 2024

The 2024 AMCA Championship is now open for Registration, with provisional dates added as well as classes for the year.

Provisional Dates

The 2024 Championship will be run over 6 rounds, there will be one reserve date. Five of the rounds will be two day events with one being held over one day.

May 18/19
June 15/16
July 7
August 3/4
August 31/September 1 (Reserve)

CLASSES

BW85 Championship:

Minimum Age 9 Years Old
Maximum Age 15 Years old on 1st January 2024
85cc 2 Stroke and 150cc 4 Strokes only

SW85 Championship:

Minimum Age 9 Years Old
Maximum Age 12 Years old on 1st January 2024
85cc 2 Stroke and 150cc 4 Strokes only

BWMA Girls Championship:

Minimum Age 9 Years Old
Maximum Age 15 Years old on 1st January 2024
85cc 2 Stroke and 150cc 4 Strokes only

(BW85/SW85/BWMA Girls likely to run in a single race together at each round)

Vets 40 Championship

Junior, Senior & Expert riders, Minimum age of 40 years before you can race

Vets 50 Championship

Junior, Senior & Expert riders, Minimum age of 50 years before you can race

(VETS40/VETS50 CHAMPIONSHIP to run together)

125 CHAMPIONSHIP

125cc only, no 150cc machines will be allowed.
Seniors & Experts only
Minimum age of 13 years old

125 YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP

The maximum age of the rider will be 17 years old on the 1st January 2024
Juniors, Seniors, Experts are eligible, this is an age specific class that will be run on its own.
125cc only class, no 150cc machines will be allowed
Minimum age of 13 years old.

BWMA WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP

This Championship will be run on its own this year and will have a capacity of 40 riders.

MX2 CHAMPIONSHIP including the Honda CRF250 Cup

Expert riders only
Riders can compete on 250cc 2-Strokes

Honda CRF250 Cup

Expert riders only
Over 18 only
Riders have to compete on a 2021 or later UK Honda CRF250, Engine and Frame numbers will need to be provided and verified
The class will be run within the MX2 Championship, riders will score points in both the MX2 Championship and the Honda Cup

Riders can compete on any capacity machine

REGISTRATION

Registration is £130 for all classes, registrations are open now, there will be no qualifiers in 2024, the class will close for registration when full.
