AMA Supercross points on the Board for Woodcock who makes Houston 2 Main Event!

Dylan Woodcock backed up Saturday nights Monster Energy Supercross 250 Main Event qualification by doing it again at Houston 2 last night.

In a tense heat race, the Essex racer and Dirt Hub test rider just missed out on a top nine qualification place finishing tenth, which meant another trip to the dreaded LCQ.

In the LCQ, after surfacing from the first bend in about seventh Woodcock avoided the melee and drama and put in some hard passes to make his way up to second putting him through to his second consecutive main event.

In the main he fluctuated between 16th and 20th, finishing the race in 19th position which gives him 21st in the series standings after two rounds.

On his Facebook page he posted H2 – “Made the main event from the lcq ended up P2 was close to coming straight out the heat race but ended up p10. The main event was a struggle but I managed p19 and I’m 21st in points.
Thanks to all everyone for sending me messages and following along with the races??”

In the 450’s Scottish racer Dean Wilson pulled off some good passes to finish sixth. In the main he was in the top ten for the majority of the race ending up in 11th after spending much of the moto in 10th.

“Tonight, was a little bit better but 11th is not the result we are looking for,” Wilson said for the Husqvarna PR. “I just needed to start up front and get in that fight a little more but I was right there. I mean, I am surrounded by guys who are winning races so I feel like I am strong enough to be in the mix, I just need to put myself in that position every time. I am getting better and more comfortable, now I just need to believe in myself a little bit more and I’ll be there.”
