The ACU have seen a massive increase in the ownership of this type of bikes and the new classes will allow our younger riders the opportunity to race them from the age of 3.

There are three new classes which cover the 12-inch, 16-inch and 18-inch bike and will cater for riders from 3 years to 8 years.

The New classes are as follows;
Age on 1 Jan

Grade Wheel Size/ Specification

EBB 12 – 12″ – 3–5 years

EBB16 – 16″ 3–6 years

EBB18 – 18″ 6–8 years

The idea behind these classes is to introduce them to either Electric only events or as part of existing Motocross meetings.
Speaking in behalf of the ACU Motocross Committee, Paul Roeton said ‘This is an important step forward for the ACU with both Youth access and Electric classes. The introduction of these classes will not only allow new riders be introduced to our sport but will also cater for younger Siblings of current racers at MX events’

If you are an organiser of events and wish to find out more, please contact the ACU Motocross Department by emailing Sonia Goggin – sonia@acu.org.uk
