Indeed, that 1000cc RH Sidecar class is very impressive with the Cossar brothers Mark and Tom, Colin Blackbourn, Terry Saunters, Matt Fumarola, Paul Whitelam, Trevor Heath and Michael Austin amongst others all coming under starter orders. With a total of 23 chairs entered this already looks like being a simply red-hot contest! In the 500cc sidecars, four crews will be battling it out including those Grasstrack Banter boy’s Ben Ilsley/Luke Russell. Over in the 500cc Old and New Sidecars, Mark Courtney/Leon Torres look like the crew to beat.
In the busy Solo classes, both the GT140’s and 250cc groups have attracted strong entries. Ian Clark the 2022 British Championship runner-up tops the GT140’s but there’s plenty of opposition in the 18-rider strong line-up. Taking the challenge to Clark should be the likes of Mark Scopes, Kevin Gwilliam and Lester Denham.
The 250cc contest throws together an intriguing mix of the more experienced riders v the new kids on the block. In this one, Tim Greig, Jake Breeze, Austin Riches and Karl Bedingfield take on former 2022 Youth Intermediate lads Kenzie Cossey, Charlie Wood and Hayden Watts.
Meanwhile 350cc Solo action could well be a shootout for top honours between the consistent Luke Harris, fast young Cameron Taylor, Jack Roberts, Liam Ashcroft and Will Thurlby. Both Roberts and Thurlby also go in the 500cc Solo’s.
In the two Youth classes at Chaddesley, Oliver Bovingdon, Finley Theobald, Brayden Blyth and Will Offen contest the Juniors bash. Over in the Intermediates, Max Derrick, Dylan Amies, Jacob Phillips, Thomas Vining and Jesse James start.
Completing the programme, 2022 British Champion Tony Atkin tops the Uprights entry which also features the likes of Jason Prynne and Tim Curnock whilst John Cox could be the star man in the Pre-75 class.
