Triumph complete maiden AMA Pro Motocross campaign!

Triumph Racing have completed their first AMA Pro Motocross Championship season – a significant milestone in their bid to reach the pinnacle of off-road. The final round of the 2024 series took place at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, near Indianapolis, where the TF 250-X duo faced a busy weekend.

Jalek Swoll had a challenging start in the first moto but persevered to close in on the top 10. As always, the ’33’ left it all on the track to reach the finish in 12th. In the second moto, despite another poor start, Swoll delivered an impressive performance, charging from outside the points to finish 10th, securing the same spot in the overall classification. He concluded the season seventh in the 250MX championship standings and currently sits eighth in the SuperMotocross World Championship seed, with the playoffs just two weeks away.

Ironman was eventful for Joey Savatgy, who was ruled out of moto one due to an issue on lap one. However, he bounced back to conclude his AMA Pro Motocross campaign with a solid ninth-place finish in the second moto, just ahead of his teammate, securing 15th in the overall classification. Savatgy ended the season ranked 12th in the 250MX championship standings and is seeded 17th for the SuperMotocross World Championship playoffs.

While the AMA Pro Motocross chapter has ended, attention will now move to the SuperMotocross World Championship playoffs. The first of three SMX events will be run in Concord, North Carolina, on September 07.

Jalek Swoll:It was not my best day, but not my worst either. The day was going okay and I felt good on the track in practice. I reaggravated a niggling issue and so it was just survival from then on. I am looking forward to the SuperMotocross World Championship playoffs – I really think that we have the potential to land on the podium there.”

Joey Savatgy:It was a tough weekend. It was unfortunate to have an issue so early in moto one, but the second moto was a bit better. I had a decent start, made a mistake and still pushed to ninth. I kept fighting and am proud of that effort.”

Bobby Hewitt – Triumph Racing USA Team Principal: “Our first season in AMA Pro Motocross is complete and what a milestone! Today featured a handful of highs that we are excited to build on when gates drop at the first SuperMotocross World Championship playoff in two weeks. I’m so proud of the effort that our team has put in this season.”
