The big Championship win came from Howard Wainwright, who prevailed in some close battles with Henry Williams to clinch the Honda Cup Championship, as Dylan Woodcock took the overall win on the day for FUS Marsh Racing Honda.

Honda Cup

In what was a tense and emotional final day of the campaign, with the prize of a brand new Honda CRF 250R on the line! Wainwright and Williams crashed together in race one to leave Adam Chatfield with the moto win, before Woodcock took race two ahead of further problems for Williams that left the title more of a formality for Wainwright. Williams took the consolation of the final moto win, but Wainwright did enough to tie down the title!

Drama tipped the overall result on its head in race three, as Alex Hamer fell from the lead after winning the first two races, and could only get back to 18th, missing the overall podium by a single point! George Clark and Corey Collins had been pushing him hard all day, and finally came good for first and second overall.  Hamer’s crash also denied him the chance to lead the series, which remains in the hands of Richard Roberts with Sean Frayne 2nd ahead of Hamer.
