A brand-new championship, the riders are raring to go and eager to see who takes the initial lead – and of course, hoping the weather fares them well.

Following a couple of Practice events, it’s looking like it’s all to play for in the Open Class.

Ben Moran is proving to be a very consistent young rider with potential to take top 5. Other riders with their eyes firmly on the prize will be Dan Muddiman, Joao Davis and Craig Griffiths who all get faster year on year.

Ethan Lochrie is one to look out for as an up-and-coming young rider backed by 7-One Racing, as is Jack Guntrip – a smooth rider with the potential to claim his first trophy of the championship at Round 1.

Three more riders who will be battling to come out on top will be new to minibikes Jamie Illing who brings speed and determination to the track, James Crow who consistently gets faster every time he rides and is sure to be near the front with the extra track time from the Mx2 Junior Class, and championship organiser, Blaine Blackwell who’ll be riding a 7-ONE Racing-backed Bucci F20MX machine.

In the Farmbikes, Will Ansell is proving to be a title contender for sure – keep an eye out for the green machine out with the front runners from the Open Class. Jack Saunders won’t let him get away easy though and will keep the pressure on throughout without a doubt. Another rider to watch will be Scott Pohlman who after stepping back from the Open Class into Farmbikes, has rekindled his love for the sport which will help his results for 2024.

Another good battle to watch will be the group of lads who are bantering on the Minicross Nationals 2024 Facebook page already.

For Scottie Lees this will be his first-ever race, Archie Cheshire and Neil Holford are new to the sport and the minibike man, the myth, the legend, vet John Pohlman will be gracing the track with his presence.

Craig Swales will be riding a Pit Bike Cambs-backed machine – the best-looking bike in the paddock, and Andrew Cheshire, a rider who always supports Minicross Nationals and brings the banter, will also be at the start gate.

Spectators are welcome free of charge, with camping available Saturday night (16th March).

The leaders of the two classes will be given a red plate ready for Round 2 at Coleorton on 7th April.

The Minicross Nationals would like to thank their sponsors for all of their support this year and they are:
