Kyle McNicol joins the big effort from SAS TPC KTM to relaunch his career in 2024.

Kyle won the ScotMX MX2 Championship in 2021, and was looking good for Verde Shiloh KTM in 2022, running 4th in the MX2 British Championship before being involved in a serious road traffic accident in April that year.   He raced with his family’s team last year with backing from Algas, and finished 24th in the British Championship with a best of 13th in the second moto at Schoolhouse.  He also brought home the silver medal from the Scottish MX2 Championship, so with 2023 Champion Carlton Husband changing class this year, Kyle will have his eyes on the prize north of the border!

The SAS TPC KTM squad have put in the graft to secure good sponsors and a solid base for its 2024 rider line-up.

The statement from SAS TPC KTM on their social media said:  “Kyle McNicol signs his Pro MX2 contract to race the Dirt Store ACU British Championship and the Scottish Championship for the 2024 season. Kyle has been winter training in Spain, putting in the hard work ready for the oncoming season to start.  Ben Brodz our MX2 mechanic and the whole team at SAS TPC KTM is working behind the scenes, working extremely hard on producing our race bikes.”

Steven Clarke’s SAS TPC KTM waits for action.

With the experienced Steven Clarke, fresh from becoming Bridgestone Masters MX1 Champion in 2023, moving back to MX2 this season, and the promising teenager Josh Lansbury taking on the 250cc Youth class, the big rig for this exciting new team should be a busy place around the 250cc races, and all three riders can focus on the same bike to bring home some well-deserved success for the team.

Josh Lansbury is one to watch in the Youth races.
