BRAND-NEW Minicross Nationals Pit Bike Championship for 2024

With response to an increasing number of events being cancelled due to a lack of entries in the Motocross and Minibike world, a new organisation is planning a NEW Minicross Nationals Pit Bike Championship for 2024.

The Press release from organiser Blaine Blackwell, who himself is a British Minibike Champion says:

Designed for riders by riders, our aim is to establish a club with a guaranteed maximum of 44 riders, offering a full support race for clubs who would be interested in securing additional riders for their events.

We have noticed an increase in riders turning to Minibike racing due to Motorcross prices rising, and therefore believe our support can help the Minibike community to thrive, allowing an opportunity for more successful events and more racing.

Minibike racing is incredibly intense. While the bikes are smaller in size, they are by no means lacking in power, with a majority of race bikes pushing out 28bhp from single cylinder air cooled Cub 90 style engines.

We strongly believe that working with Motocross clubs across the country is the way forward to drive the livelihood of our sport.

Our club joining fee costs £20, and we are currently taking membership applications for 2024, to get a good head start for next season. As a non-profit organisation all membership fees will contribute towards additional marshals, trophies and cash to be contribute towards track hire.

All previous Minibike events have run under Nora92 licence, and so, we have been working with Nora92 to continue this. Nora92 has well established clubs all over the country, and because of this we believe its possible to run a national championship to support multiple events across the UK.

Our Minicross Nationals club will keep hold of all results from race meetings that we are welcomed to run at as a support race, meaning we will have our own individual group championship.

Please contact us if you would like an application form or require more information.

For any clubs who are willing to give us the opportunity to run a support class at your events please contact us by email: minicrossnationals@gmail.com
