With the season just around the corner he answers our Dirty Dozen questions before the race weekends come thick and fast in May…

Dirt Hub: Do you have a Pre-Race Playlist you listen too, and if so name a couple of tracks that are on it?

Tom: My playlist is all over the place, one minute I am listening to 21 Savage, the next Guns and Roses, but you can always rely on Faithless Insomnia to get you hyped up for a race.

DH: When was the last time you cried?

Tom: This morning when I woke up to see Dad had polished off the custard creams.

DH: What is your favourite inspirational quote?

Tom: If you hang around 5 confident people, you will be the 6th
if you hang around 5 intelligent people, you will be the 6th
if you hang around 5 idiots, you will be the 6th,
Moral of the story, who are you hanging around with?

DH: Do you have any weird suspicions or pre-race rituals?

Tom: I like to do one lap of the track in my head and tell myself what I need to do, I like to do this before every race, don’t ask why it just feels right!

DH: What drives you most to get up in the morning and go training?

Tom: Dave Thorpe once told me to do the hard work during the week to make the weekends fun, no worse feeling leaving the track on Sunday disappointed in your performance due to not putting the correct work in. That’s what motivates me!

DH: If you didn’t race what sport would you play or take part it?

Tom: Well, before Motocross I was on the football path, I was scouted by Tottenham and was playing with them for a while, I was then scouted by Arsenal before deciding I liked Motocross a lot more so dropped it all. So I would like to think  I would be playing for a Premiership team now ahaha.

DH: What is your biggest Phobia?

Tom: Sending food back at a restaurant after they forget to put something on your plate, feels illegal but isn’t.

DH: Who is your biggest sporting idol and why?

Tom: Have to say Tyson Fury as you have to look where he came from to where he is now.

DH: Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Tom: I would like to be one of the best in the British championship fighting for a title in the 450 class.

DH: What is your all-time favourite movie?

Tom: Has to be SNATCH, if you don’t know it, get to know it!

DH: Who has had the biggest impact on your career?

Tom: I would like to think my grandad, not flash just all business, Just wish he could have seen what I have achieved so far.

DH: What is your philosophy on life?

Tom: You can’t please everyone so just do what makes you happy.
