The course by this time had dried and been moulded by the 170 odd riders who had travelled the stubble at speed for several hours. Following a Le Mans Start the 8 young riders battled fiercely from the off and a slick start from 15 year old Billy Sargent from Great Cornard gave him the lead from 14 year old Mason Miller from Great Bromley with Will Turtle age 14 from Sible Hedingham close on his heels. Mason took the first corner on the inside holding off any further challenges and retained the lead eventually lapping the back markers even after an emergency pit stop.
Michael Wilson age 15 local Great Bardfield based rider, after a poor start worked his way up the field till the battle for the top three places were defined with Mason in the lead and Michael chasing the 85cc on his 125cc Husqvarna with Billy Sargent hot on his tail determined to retain his third place. Will Turtle was consistent in 4th place with James Mangham in his wake. It was great to welcome Max Fleming & Ted Risedale to the Sudbury event both keen riders making the trip down from Aldeburgh & Woodbridge and the Norfolk & Suffolk Junior Motorcycle Club.
