UK based moto YouTube channel ‘999lazer’ have just launched a brand-new monthly show that is sure to fire up dirt bike lovers the world over. ‘Hot Laps’ is a new format that will be debuting on the 999lazer channel in 2025 to go alongside their existing content types, and the pilot episode has just dropped online!
The ‘Hot Laps’ show is inspired by Top Gear’s ‘Star in a reasonably priced car’ segment. In each episode Max from 999lazer will invite selected riders to come and set a fast lap around Doncaster Moto Parc, with the aim of making it to the coveted top spot of the Hot Laps leaderboard.
He’ll then sit down for a talk with the riders to chat about the lap and their careers in general before the lap times and results are revealed.
We’ll be seeing the pros show off their skills on track and their personalities in the paddock as well, and it’s sure to be edge of your seat stuff as the best riders in the game fight for the ultimate bragging rights.
If a rider reaches the top of the board in their episode, they will walk away with the Hot Laps Red Plate to take home as the lap record holder. The rider who is at the top at the end of the year will receive the Hot Laps grand prize.
Future Hot Laps episodes will be filmed at Doncaster Moto Parc members only ride days. So if you’re keen to watch the action unfold in person be sure to take a look at becoming a DMP member!
Max and the 999lazer team will be inviting a host of different riders to come along and compete in the Hot Laps challenge throughout the year, from current pro racers and retired legends to internet personalities and stars from other sports. Let us know who you’d love to see take on the challenge….
Episodes will be dropping monthly on the 999lazer YouTube channel.
