The 2023 National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) Awards, held on November 22nd, celebrated outstanding achievements in the events industry. Among esteemed contenders like Eurovision and The Royal Bath and West Show, the Weston Beach Race claimed the prestigious ‘Event of the Year – Private Sector’ award.

Acknowledging the resilience and successes in a challenging year, the evening highlighted contributions that signify optimism for outdoor events. NOEA’s press release stated, “Weston Beach Race – RHL Activities clinched the Event of the Year Award in the Private Sector, drawing a global audience.”
The 40th Anniversary of the Weston-super-Mare Beach Race boasts to be one of the biggest on record, with Todd Kellett winning for a sixth time against Billy Bolt and Milko Potisek, some of the biggest names in the beach cross and enduro industry. The likes of HillBilly Nation, Jamie Squibb and Paul Hannam were on site to provide entertainment off-track.
Judges emphasized the intense competition across categories and praised the record-breaking number of high-quality submissions, marking this year as the largest in the event’s history.
