Round three of the FIM Motocross World Championship commences this weekend at Saint-Jean-d’Angély in France. With rain forecast heading into the weekend, it looks like another mudder could be in store! Let’s take a look at which British riders will be lining up in France.
In the MXGP class, MRT Racing Team Beta Factory’s Ben Watson will look to build on his steady weekend in Cozar. The extreme conditions in Spain caused his Beta RX450 front fender to fall off in both of the motos, making his 13th overall finish even more impressive.

Chambers Racing’s Adam Sterry will be lining up in Saint-Jean and is scheduled to race all the European GPs. This is a circuit where Sterry has performed well in past years, notably securing a top 5 overall finish in 2019 in the MX2 class.
Josh Gilbert and John Adamson are both set to race this weekend for the Lexa MX team. Adamson injured his knee during timed practice in Cozar and will be assessed before a decision is made on whether the Scotsman will race in France.
Although there are no Brits competing in the MX2 class, there are seven British riders competing in the EMX250 class: #41 Shaun Mahoney, #71 Harvey Cashmore, #79 Bobby Bruce, #407 Jake Davies, #410 James Barker, #441 Billy Askew, and #456 Ollie Colmer.
There are two returning Brits in the EMX125 class in Drew Stock and Hayden Statt. Both had a solid weekend in Spain last weekend and will be heading into France with some confidence. Two new faces in #14 Freddie Gardiner and #30 Charlie Richmond will be jumping into the class in Saint-Jean-d’Angély. JK Racing Yamaha’s Jamie Keith broke his collarbone in Free Practice last weekend which required surgery, so he will be out for this weekend.
