The annual Welsh Trail Riders Association organised Beacons Rally took place on the weekend, with the two-day event being the opening two rounds of the ACU British Bike Rally Championship.

An entry of just under 150 riders took to a 30-mile lap of forest roads and dirt tracks in the Crychan forest near Llandovery in West Wales. All classes except the beginners rode three laps. The heavy rain promised didn’t arrive until late afternoon, and riders were treated to another top-class event put on by the WTRA club.
