2024 Motocross of Nations - Race 1 Results

Tim Gajser of Slovenia drew first blood at the 2024 Motocross of Nations by winning Race 1, which saw the MXGP and MX2 classes go head to head.  Gajser had to pass early leader Jorge Prado for the win and fight off the advances of Team USA’s Eli Tomac, who finished the race in second ahead of Romain Febvre, who made a late charge to finish third, with Prado having to make do with fourth.

Jeffrey Herlings went down early in the moto and fought his way back to fifth. Lucas Coenen was the top MX2 rider, making some incredible passes to get onto the back wheel of Prado, but he crashed out of the race and suffered what is rumoured to be a shoulder injury.

Team GB’s Max Anstie also suffered a big crash and wouldn’t finish the race, while Tommy Searle fought hard with no goggles for 23rd.
